Project in Breif The project consisted of a sump tank 24m X 36m with 2m water depth and a two storied filter house cum pump house building of 12m X 36m size. Due to presence of high ground water table the sump tank was subjected to uplift pressure. Tension piles are used to resist this uplift. Piles are spaced at 2.4m c/c in both the directions. The base raft and the roof slab is designed as flat slabs. The filter house cum pump house building has a cylindrical shell roof in concrete.
